Set your company code up as:

"Specify Time-Independent Management of Organiz. Units"

via, spro, FI - Asset accounting, Master Data,
"Specify Time-Independent Management of Organiz. Units"

Then in the master data (AS02) create a new time interval for the new cost centre, however you would have to do this for all assets. I don't know how to do this in Mass.
